What to Ask Before Joining Any Trading Institute
Quick answer: Ask seven things before you pay: what you will learn and in what order, how you will practise, who answers your doubts, how long access lasts, what the fee covers, how your details are handled, and whether the institute sticks to education. Ask them in writing and put two institutes side by side. Clear answers make the decision easy.
About this guide: it is written by Mentor Aditya Jain Academy in Jaipur. We teach market education only.
Choosing where to learn is the first real decision a learner makes, and it is easier when you arrive with questions instead of a brochure. The seven questions below work for any institute, including ours. Copy them into a message, send them, and compare what comes back.
Start with one sentence about yourself
Before you ask anything, write what you need. "I am new and want the basics first." "I work full time and can study in the evening." "I already trade and want a written method." The answers you collect only make sense against this sentence.
1. What will I learn, and in what order?
Ask for the full syllabus, module by module.
A clear answer lists the topics in sequence: market basics, chart reading, risk, then a written method, with options only after the foundations. If risk appears at the very end, or the syllabus is one line long, ask again.
2. How will I practise, and who checks my work?
Watching lessons is not the same as learning a skill.
A clear answer names assignments, a journal or practice sheets, and a person who reviews your answers. Ask how often, and in what form, you get feedback.
3. Who answers my doubts, and how?
Every learner gets stuck. Find out the route before you need it.
A clear answer says where doubts go (a live session, chat, a student portal), how quickly people usually reply and which languages are used. Ask whether you can see how a doubt session works.
4. How long is access, and do lessons get updated?
Markets and tools change, and a lesson recorded long ago may no longer fit.
A clear answer gives the access period in years, says what "updates" means, and tells you whether new material is included or sold separately.
5. What exactly does the fee cover?
Ask for the price in rupees, with tax stated, and a written list of what is inside it: recorded lessons, live classes, assignments, updates, certificate, support.
A clear answer lists everything the price includes, with any add-ons stated up front. Read the refund terms before you pay, not after.
6. What happens to my phone number and details?
This one is often skipped.
A clear answer is a plain sentence in the institute's own words about how your details are used, and what you will not receive. Look for it on the privacy page, and ask it again in your message.
7. Does the institute stay with education?
Ask directly: "Is your teaching purely educational?"
A clear answer is "Yes, it explains methods and leaves decisions to you." An education-only institute teaches you how to read the market and leaves the decisions to you. It should also be able to explain its methods clearly, step by step.
A simple comparison sheet
Make a small table with the institutes in columns and these rows: syllabus order, practice and feedback, doubt route, access and updates, fee inclusions, privacy statement, education-only. Fill each cell with what you were told in writing. Leave it blank where you got no answer. A few blanks tell you more than any advertisement.

Frequently asked questions
What is the first thing to ask before joining a trading institute?
Ask for the full syllabus in order. It shows whether risk and practice come early and whether the course is built as a path.
How do I compare two trading institutes fairly?
Send both the same seven questions and ask for written answers. Compare syllabus order, practice and feedback, doubt route, access and updates, fee inclusions and privacy, not the amount of advertising.
Is a free course a good way to check an institute?
Yes. One free lesson shows the teaching style, the pace and the language used, before you pay anything.
Education only.
